Welcome to FiberCamp
The Fiber Community Unconference
A FiberCamp is a PodCamp-style community UnConference for fiber enthusiasts and professionals including knitters, crocheters, weavers, spinners, dyers and anyone curious about fiber activities. The first FiberCamp is being planned for January 8-10, 2010 in Boston, Massachusetts. Future FiberCamps will be held worldwide.
FiberCamp isn't just about knitting! If you're interested in Ravelry, blogging, social media, social networking, podcasting, photography, Etsy, or are just someone curious about learning about fiber activties, then please join us—and bring a friend or colleague.
What is FiberCamp?
Everyone is a Rock Star
Fibercamp is based on the fact that everyone has something to share and teach. Connect with the community by sharing your passion.
What Fibercamp is Not
Because the time is limited this is not like other conferences. People will present and teach smaller bite-sized ideas and techniques that will range from beginning fair isle to strategies for slow stashing using Ravelry. Some presentations might be demonstration-only and completely PowerPoint presentations and some will be hands-on. Because this conference is powered by the people who attend it, you are responsible to be a part of the conversation. So if it's a big group where the presenter cannot get around to your area and you figured it out, please feel free to help out.

Silly question: how did this end up being scheduled the same weekend as the Yarn Crawl? I personally preferred last year's January date.
